About the Choir: 

The Hicks High School Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Misty Iles, has been quite a success the passed two school years (2017/2018 and 2018/2019).  In addition to singing at numerous community events, the choir put on four concerts in the school’s auditorium. 

In May (2017/2018), the choir competed in San Antonio.  They won 2^nd place in their division and won the overall most spirited award.  Accompanist Dawson Nolen won the most outstanding accompanist for his incredible talent on the piano.

In May (2018/2019), the choir competed once again in San Antonio. They won 1^st place in their division and won the overall most spirited award. Accompanist Dawson Nolen won the most outstanding accompanist for the second year in a row for his outstanding talent on the piano. 

(note:  Choir is an elective for both the junior high and high school students.)

When can students join?

Students should select Choir as an elective when they complete their course schedule for the next school year.  Students who transfer in during the school year will have the option for Choir as an elective, so they may join when they enter school.

Is there a fee to join?

Because Choir is a elective class, there is no fee to join.
